Refund Policy
How subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds work for ChainsSignal customers.
Overview
ChainsSignal is a subscription service. Plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle. This page explains how cancellations are processed and when refunds are issued.
Subscription billing
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each cycle until canceled. Pricing, seat counts, and capacity envelopes are defined in your order or workspace settings.
- Monthly plans are billed each month on your renewal date.
- Annual plans are billed once per year on the anniversary of your purchase.
- Applicable taxes are added at checkout based on your billing address.
- Plan upgrades are prorated and take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next renewal.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from billing settings or by writing to support@chainsignal.co. Cancellation stops the next renewal — your workspace remains active until the end of the paid period.
After the paid period ends, the workspace is moved to read-only and exports remain available for 30 days.
Refund eligibility
We want you to feel confident about your purchase. Refund requests are reviewed on the following basis:
- New annual subscriptions: full refund within 14 days of the initial purchase, provided the workspace has not exceeded light evaluation usage.
- Renewals: not refundable by default. If a renewal was unintended, contact us within 7 days and we'll review the request in good faith.
- Monthly subscriptions: not refundable, but cancellation takes effect immediately for the next cycle.
- Service interruptions caused by us: prorated credit applied to the next invoice when an interruption breaches our service commitment.
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 10 business days.
Onboarding & professional services
Onboarding packages, data-migration assistance, and custom integrations are scoped on a per-engagement basis. Fees for delivered work are non-refundable. Undelivered hours from a prepaid engagement remain available as account credit for 12 months.
How to request a refund
Email legal@chainsignal.co from the email address on file with the following information:
- Workspace name and account email
- Invoice number or order ID
- Reason for the refund request
We acknowledge requests within one business day and resolve most within five.
Chargebacks & disputes
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please reach out before opening a chargeback — we can almost always resolve it directly. Chargebacks filed without prior contact may result in workspace suspension while the dispute is investigated.
